Welcome. Whether you have known Kathy Ivins over the years or are just hearing about her for the first time, we are glad you’re here and hope you’ll spend some time here getting to know her and all she was – and continues to be – to so many. This site has been created by her husband, John, and by their boys, Jack and Jim, to honor their wife/Mom and to provide focus upon a life that meant so much to us and to so many who have known Kathy over the years.
There are many lessons we can all take from Kathy. But, perhaps the greatest is that Kathy lived life with purpose and to its fullest, and in doing so, deeply impacted many people and helped to shape our community of greater Richmond, Virginia. As a close friend has said, “Kathy’s life was indeed too short, but the quality of it was that of which most people can only dream.”
